Yoga Asana - Ardha-Padmasana


Ardha-Padmasana : A milder version of Padmasana
Those who find practicing Padmasana difficult, can begin with this Ardha-Padmasana which will prepare your body muscles and mind for the Padmasana.

Instructions: Sit straight on your yoga mat and then keep your right foot on your left thigh and close your eyes or else you can keep your left foot on your right thigh and close your eyes.

Benefits : similar to those of Padmasana but as Ardha-Padmasana is a milder version of Padmasana, the benefits from this asana will also be milder than the Padmasana

Shirshasana - The King of Asanas. Shirsh means head, thus Shirshasana means standing on bead. Before performing this Asana one should follow proper instructions and know the precautions. Instructions - Keep a pillow under the head to rest the head on it while performing the Asana. Place your head on pillow and then interlock your fingers and place it behind your ahead. Get your body into the mountain pose and slowly get your waist in line with the head. Once the head and waist are in line, then lift the toes off the ground and get your whole body in one line.
